EmployNext offers free employment services, including resume support, interview coaching, job search assistance, and access to training and resources to those referred to us by the Ministry of Assisted Living and Social Services to help you succeed in your role and career.
How we can help
EmployNext supports individuals in Alberta’s South Zone who have been referred through Alberta Supports by the Government of Alberta.
Through out intake process, EmployNext connects individuals to local employment services and wraparound supports. These services are delivered through accessible resource centres across metro and non-metro areas, with a network of more than 30 programs and over 120 services supporting people with disabilities, job seekers, individuals experiencing homelessness, and those needing financial, safety, or family support.
Our services are free to you through funding provided by the Government of Alberta.
A straight-forward journey to sustainable employment
Metro Job Seekers Journey
- Job Seeker is referred to EmployNext by their Assisted Living & Social Services (ALSS) worker after conducting an Employment Readiness Assessment (ERA)
- EmployNext Team reaches out to the Job Seeker using their provided contact information to schedule an intake appointment within 5 business days. Job Seekers are contacted using various outreach efforts, such as phone calls at different times, supportive text messages, emails and written correspondence, if digital methods fail.
- EmployNext conducts a minimum of five types of contact attempts over 10 business days at different times of the day and methods, each of which are documented.
- Job Seeker attends their intake appointment where an individualized action plan is created to address their needs and goals.
- EmployNext team and the Job Seeker work together to decide and match the Job Seeker to a community service provider.
- EmployNext team stays connected with the Job Seeker on a regular basis ensuring that their goals are met, up to a year after successful employment.
- Job Seeker exits the program after being successfully employed and meeting their career goals.
Non-Metro Job Seekers Journey
Job Seekers in Non-Metro regions are connected to local Employment Service Providers (ESP) and Wraparound Supports (WSP) by EmployNext based on their needs, preferences, and locations. EDPs conduct service delivery, sustainment and retention activities with the Job Seeker ensuring long-term success.
